On Service Learning

Public schools in the United States have been requiring students to actively participate in service learning by volunteering, attending events, and helping the community for decades. Service learning, or community service is one of the most beneficial activities that a young student could be involved in. Not only does service learning help improve the community, it benefits the student by presenting the unique opportunity to gain more knowledge, experience, and a sense of community through healthy interactions, meeting new people, and exposure to unique and individualized scenarios.
